Welcome to the Queer Songbook Project

The Queer Songbook Project is a commissioning and publishing initiative dedicated to expanding vocal repertoire for young singers through inclusive, affirming music. Created by vocalist and educator Tori Delgado, the project brings together composers to write original art songs that reflect the diverse identities and experiences of LGBTQ+ youth and their allies. Designed for developing voices and educational settings, the collection offers musically engaging, pedagogically sound repertoire that allows every singer to see themselves in the music they perform.

Our Mission

The Queer Songbook Project exists to expand the canon of vocal literature by commissioning and disseminating high-quality songs that affirm LGBTQ+ identities and experiences, particularly for young and emerging singers. We seek to provide educators and performers with accessible, pedagogically informed repertoire that fosters artistic growth, self-expression, and belonging. By amplifying diverse voices and stories, the project aims to cultivate inclusive musical spaces in studios, classrooms, and performance venues across the country.

The Queer Songbook will be premiered live on Sunday, June 14th, 2026 at 2:00pm at the Kenwood Presbyterian Church in Nottingham, MD!
